KEPHIS notice on employment scam

KEPHIS has issued a statement warning job applicants to be aware of fraudsters promising that they will guarantee them employment opportunities at KEPHIS. Below is the full notice.

The attention of Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) has been drawn to the action of fraudsters who are extorting money from job seekers/applicants and purport-ing to offer them employment at KEPHIS.

Genuine KEPHIS vacancies are published at www.mygov.go.ke in the mainstream newspapers and on the KEPHIS website www.kephis.go.ke. The Service has an elaborate and transparent process of recruitment which entails online application through the recruitment portal, shortlisting, written invitation for interviews, physical interviews at KEPHIS Headquarters in Karen, and finally communication with successful and unsuccessful candidates is done.

Further, it should be noted that all recruitments at KEPHIS are devoid of any payments. Members of the public are therefore cautioned against paying monies to any individuals posing on social media platforms or any other platform purporting to be in a position to assist them secure employment in KEPHIS. Kindly beware and do not fall prey to those trying to extort money from jobseekers and purporting to be from KEPHIS.
