KMPDU Announces Protest for Doctors' Nationwide Strike

The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Secretary General Dr. Davji Bhimji Atellah has announced plans to conduct a peaceful protest on April 16, 2024 over the lack of the government's commitment to fulfill CBA. Below is their statement. 

KMPDU Protest Statement 

The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists. and Dentists Union (KMPDU) serve as the representative body for all Medical Practitioners. Pharmacists. and Dentists operating within the Republic of Kenya. encompassing both the public and private sectors, as well as associate members. the medical students.

We write to inform you of our intention to conduct a peaceful procession concerning the Doctors' Nationwide strike to highlight the State of Healthcare in Kenya. The procession is scheduled to take place on 16th April 2024. commencing at 9:00 am.

The route of the procession will be from the Kenyatta National Hospital-Ministry of Health-Council of Governors and subsequently to the Treasury.

In light of the importance of maintaining order and ensuring the safety of all participants. we kindly request your assistance in providing security during this event. Your cooperation and support in facilitating a peaceful and orderly procession would be greatly appreciated.
