Jewish people rejected Jesus as the Messiah because;

  • Jesus came from Nazareth where nothing good was expected
  • Jesus claimed to be the son of God
  • He associated/mixed with the outcast/sinners
  • He rejected their religious leaders/condemned the hypocrites
  • Many people did not understand his teachings
  • He did not belong to any Jewish religious leaders
  • He failed to enforce observance of the mosaic law
