Control in management is in simple terms the means through which the head of a company or organization influences those below him to perform certain tasks to achieve desired goal.

Control can be undertaken through;

  • Setting goals that should meet
  • Assigning tasks to employees
  • Laying down structures to be followed
  • Auditing employee performance
  • Supervising employees
  • Measuring employee performance
  • Laying down regulations to be followed
  • Giving workers productivity tools to maximize output
  •  e.t.c
