To be covered by NHIF through Edu Afya, a student must register in the NEMIS system and take bio-metrics. NHIF branch offices will be required to visit schools and carry out Biometric registration of the students and then issue them with Cards.
In order for a student to access and benefit from Edu Afya, student should visit any NHIF healthcare providers (HCPS) and provide either NHIF Membership card or letter of introduction from the school principal.
If you have previously been receiving Afya Elimu helb loan and you were denied this time, it is because the funding to the loan was reduced.
