There was an error at NTSA TIMS portal that required students who have passed their driving test to first apply for an interim driving license then apply for a Smart driving license (DL).If you are not getting any errors then you can directly apply for Smart DL. However, if you are getting errors then you need to first apply for an interim driving license before applying for a Smart driving license.NOTE: You can now generate an interim driving license using this procedure.
You can apply for smart DL immediately after passing the driving test. You will be required to login to your NTSA TIMS account and apply online as provided in the procedure linked below.
