To stop promotion messages from Safaricom dial 456#, select stop, then Marketing Messages and then Stop All promo messages. You can as well choose to select which specific promo messages you want to block to avoid missing important promotional messages.
If you are in the diaspora or out of the country and you want to register or update your Safaricom Simcard details online then (currently) the only you have is to send Safaricom a message via Twitter @Safaricom_Care and they will help you with the registration process.Note: You will be required to provide your phone number, ID/passport number, and attach passport with (visa and biodata, exit stamp from Kenya, and entry stamp to the country you are). You will also be required to provide a contact number that can be used to reach you.We will update this page if Safaricom launches an online Simcard registration portal like for Telkom and Airtel (read about airtel online Simcard registration details update).UPDATE: You can now update your Safaricom Simcard registrationn details online.
Safaricom reverse call cannot be blocked. If people are bothering you with reverse calls, then the only option you have is to ignore the reverse calls.
If your Safaricom line remains inactive for long it will be deactivated. To reactivate your Safaricom Simcard, then call Safaricom with another active line through 100 and they will help you activate the line.
To check whether your Simcard is registered or not then Dial *106# on any of your Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom, or Equitel line then select check my number. You will see a list of numbers registered using your ID. NOTE: This procedure is only applicable if you are checking your Simcard registration details from one of the lines registered under your ID.
