To change your national ID names in Kenya follow these steps;

  • Step 1: Get a letter from your area Chief
  • Step 2: Obtain an Affidavit
  • Step 3: Obtain a deep poll document
  • Step 4: Get an Affidavit by a professional who has known you for more than 10 Years
  • Step 5: Go fingerprint taking
  • Step 6: Go to the registrar of documents for registration
  • Step 7: Go for Kenya Gazette for a change of names
  • Step 8: Then finally apply for your ID with the names you want.
