The race for the 2017 presidential election campaigns have picked up. Although it is not clear whether Gideon Moi or Isaac Ruto will be in the presidential ballot box, it is now apparent that the two will not be walking in the same path with Deputy president William Ruto.
Thus the ICC blame game has cropped up gain. In 2013, Raila Odinga carried all the blame of the on ongoing Hague cases which had a great negative impact on his ambitious victory. Now this time it is not Raila Odinga alone in the blame list. William Ruto and Gideon Moi have been accused of praying for DP Ruto to be prosecuted at the Hague.
While speaking in the burial of Mama Priscillah Kositany Deputy president William Ruto said “They are also praying that I get jailed.” However, Isaac Ruto dismissed the claims and said “I have defended him in many things ranging from the maize scandal . I also moved a motion to stop the ICC cases . . . I have tried everything to help him,”
It should be known that Ruto’s ICC case is a very sensitive matter in the Rift valley and whoever that is linked to supporting it has very high chances of ruining his political career.
