Anticipation and excitement continues to mount at the University of Kabianga following the postponement of the election exercise supposed to have taken place about a week ago. As per the drawn constitution of the school, the elections to usher in new student leaders were supposed to have
been carried out several months ago.
The reason behind the alteration of the election process calendar was to
allow the majority group which was by then away on vacation to be allowed
to participate in the exercise come this semester which commenced on the 13th of January 2014.
As per the new directives, the elections body has set the exercise to kick off on the second week of the semester upon receiving nomination papers from various candidates eyeing various seats.
They will then therefore declare the Students’ Governing Council seats
vacant. The University of Kabianga elections body will then pave way for campaigns that will run till midnight of the 4th week of the opening month.
