We want to conduct our marriage via the attorney general. What is required

The requirement of apply for a civil marriage via the attorney general are; you must be over 18 years, consent to marriage, and the marriage must be of a man and woman.

The procedure of applying for marriage via the attorney is complete notice of intention to marry form, After the 21 days, the couple fills the affidavit under S 11 of the Marriage Act, and then gets it commissioned by the Registrar and completes a Marriage Certificate Form, if the application is approved you will be required to book marriage date.

On the Marriage date, the couple will go to the Registrar’s Office with two witnesses and they will be granted the Marriage Certificate
