Sheng is an informal language in Kenya that is used by urban youths. It is most popular in the City of Nairobi. Most Shengs words are a mixture of English and Kiswahili language. Sheng language keeps evolving. New words come up every day and the old ones lose their popularity and are dropped.

Examples of Sheng Words are

  • Kuomoka: become rich
  • Kanairo: Nairobi
  • Wagwan: Yes
  • Buda: Father
  • Senke: Boda boda
