The least qualification you need to have to be a p1 teacher is mean grade of D (plain) with KNEC (Kenya National Examination Council) proficiency certificate and KNEC ECDE (Early Childhood Development Education) Certificate. However, TSC (Teachers Services Commission) indicated sometime back that they will not be recognizing P1 teachers. Do your research well to find out more about that before enrolling.
