To get a KRA pin for a company, you need a tax agent pin. Even those who apply locally use tax agents. The best thing to do is to contact a tax agent and ask them to apply the pin for you. They charge between Ksh. 2k to 20k.
The only document that is required to apply for a KRA pin as Kenyan citizen is your national ID number. KRA pin applications are done online via KRA itax portal: https://itax.kra.go.ke/KRA-Portal/ It is free to register for KRA pin. All that is need is internet access
To get your KRA that you have lost or cannot remember then scan both sides of your national ID and send to callcentre@kra.go.ke. If there is a delay in email response that you can use KRA Facebook and twitter account for a follow up.
