What does member not covered mean in NHIF?

I’ve just registered and paid for my NHIF for the whole year but when I check on 21101 it says member not covered until 27/02/2021 what does that mean? …and how soon can I start using the card?

If you are a new NHIF member it takes 60 days for your membership to be active. That is why you are seeing member not covered.
