All students placed to public and private universities in Kenya are government sponsored. This means that your tuition fee will be supported by the government.
HELB loan for government-sponsored students goes to their school fees account to reduce the burden on the high amount of school fees that they pay. It is assumed that if you can afford fees for private university studies then your parent can afford to provide you with upkeep.
