Duties of an official receiver in a corporation

  • Makes a preliminary report to the court on the causes of the company's failure and states whether in his opinion he should make further investigation and report on suspected fraud
  • calls separate meetings of creditors and of contributors within one month of order for liquidation.
  • The official receiver shall by virtue of his office be the liquidator during any vacancy
