As at writing this answer, the opening dates for primary and secondary schools in Kenya have not changed. Schools will re-open on 10th May 2021, if the opening dates are not postponed. Here is an updated academic calendar for pre-primary, primary and secondary schools in Kenya.
Form one selection normally starts immediately after release of KCPE examinations. Student get to know the secondary schools they have been placed about a month after release of KCPE exams. Selection process begins with national schools, then regional and then county schools. However, we are not sure whether the pandemic will affect the dates. The exact dates when 2021 form one selection will begin is 28th May 2021.
According to data published by the Ministry of Education in 2019, there are 10,487 secondary schools in Kenya. 8,933 are public while 1,554 are private.
The government has not announced recruitment for open University of Kenya lecturer positions. Keep checking the University's website for any open vacancies.
