What do arrears mean in TSC P9 Form?

I was newly employed by TSC but my P9 Form indicates that I have arrears of 5k. What are the arrears for?

If you are a Teacher and you have arrears in your P9 Form then it means it is the money TSC delayed to pay you. Arrears in P9 do not mean that you have KRA arrears.

If you have a KRA penalty, it will indicate in your KRA account not P9 Form.

Just file your tax income returns and you will not see the same arrears in your KRA account.
