  • Promote democratic and accountable exercise of power
  • Foster national unity in Kenya by recognizing diversity
  • Give power of self governance to people
  • Recognize the rights of communities to manage their own affairs and development.
  • Protect and promote the rights of the minority and marginalized
  • To facilitate decentralization of state organs, functions and service from the capital
  • To enhance checks and balances and separation of power.
  • Promote social economic development and promotion of easy access to services throughout Kenya.
