Every student placed by KUCCPS to pursue certificate, diploma or degree is government sponsored. HELB is also issued to government sponsored students.
Yes, even if you are a government sponsored students, you will still need to pay some fee. However, the school fees is minimal compared to that of private sponsored students. You will be required to pay about ksh. 18,000 to 25,000 per semester for government sponsored while private sponsored students will pay more than triple what you are paying because they are not supported by the government.
Yes, if you have been placed to a private University like KCA by KUCCPS then your fee will be paid by the government. Kindly note that even government sponsored students placed to public universities do pay tuition fee about ksh. 16,000 to 20,000 per semester. Therefore, you will also have to pay that fee.
All students placed to Private Universities by KUCCPS will be sponsored by the government just like students placed to public universities. Therefore, you will not pay school fees as self-sponsored student.
