The cost of applying and getting a certificate of good conduct through Huduma is Kenya Shillings 1050. You should start your application at eCitizen portal and go to Huduma Centre for fingerprints taking.
To reschedule certificate of good conduct fingerprint-taking dates, log in to ecitizen portal and select Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), under recent application click on the application you made and change appointment dates.
A certificate of good conduct takes a minimum of 3 weeks to be ready for collection after you have taken your fingerprints/biometrics. The only way to make the process faster is to check if there are spaces available at the CID office and book it as the location for fingerprint-taking and collection. Unfortunately, if you have a job and they need the original certificate of good conduct immediately, then there is nothing you can do to hasten the process. Some companies do accept application invoices as you wait for the certificate to be ready.
Huduma Center says that there is a delay in processing of Certificate of Good conduct due to the high number of applications received. There is nothing else you can do if you have already taken you finger prints but wait. If you have not taken your finger prints, you can login to eCitizen portal and change your appointment date and location. You might be lucky to get a slot that is available for less than a week.
You are required to fill Certificate of Good conduct form online using the eCitizen portal but at the end of the day you must present yourself at DCI headquarters or Huduma Center for finger print taking.
